From Rhode to Milk Makeup.
There was a time before “I saw it on TikTok” was in my vocabulary, but those days are long gone. Now, my I-say-only-when-on-the-treadmill-but-actually-more-often-than-not scroll time serves as my spiritual/capitalistic advisor and leader. If someone recommends a product that I haven’t seen on my feed, I have to assume their clip curation is just a little more ahead of the curve than mine.
With this abundance of product recommendations the problem is how to sort through all the noise and discern what’s actually good in the world of makeup, hair care, and skincare, especially when a product goes viral and becomes semi-impossible to get your hands on. Ahead, we did the post-research research for you and rounded up 15 TikTok-approved beauty products from 2024 that are worth your time, money, and intrigue. Scroll to discover what brought them to our feeds in the first place.
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++)
How lucky are we to live in a world where we have countless wonderful SPF options to choose from? Seriously, there’s no need to cut corners on your sun protection, so when the internet goes particularly wild for a sunscreen, you better believe it’s great. Featuring a hydrating formula to leave your skin glowy and antioxidant-rich ingredients to calm and further protect your skin, this K-beauty staple is particularly great for sensitive skin and doesn’t leave a white cast on any skin tones.
Sacheu Lip Liner Stay-N-Peel Off Tattoo
If I had to pick the viral beauty product of 2024, it would be this one. It’s popular to the point where I saw my friend’s mom post about it the other day on Facebook. And listen, the intrigue makes sense! On one hand, these peel-off lip liners lend themselves to great content because the application process is satisfying to watch. On the other, they look really good once applied—especially when you add a bit of gloss on top. While the color, “nOOHde,” gets most of the attention, there are benefits to all the shades; just plan your evening look ahead of time with the knowledge that your lips will be stained with liner all day long.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara
Could you also watch Alix Earle apply mascara all day long? While the influencer has other faves, #BeautyTok at large is particularly invested in this product—a longtime drugstore favorite that’s made its way to our feeds thanks to its ability to add wild length and a little curl without clumping or flaking. Available in five colors, including three shades of black, it feels light as air and won’t break the bank (a statement that can’t be made for many of the products that find their way to our feeds).
Omnilux Contour Face LED Light Mask
Thanks to the proliferation of skincare selfies, red light therapy masks were huge in 2024. And this time, we have a direct source to point to: Kim Kardashian, who gave out the product to her friends and family last Christmas. As it happens, the tastemaker favors Omnilux—not just for her face but also for her hands and decollete. Simply throw the portable mask on while doing your chores or reading before bed, but don’t forget to snap a picture.
Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint Lip + Cheek Blush Stain
Don’t bite it! Or do, if you want to be like all the viral TikTokers who really went for it in their reviews. (But actually don’t.) When Milk Makeup released its Cooling Water Jelly Tint Cheek + Lip Stain in February 2024, it hit peak virality immediately. Available in six flattering shades—the soft pink Fresh and soft peach Fizz just joined the family—the Jell-o-like texture offers the perfect flush of color and boasts over 1,000 swipes per stick.
'Ôrəbella Perfumes
When Bella Hadid first teased a beauty brand (she made a surprise appearance at Ulta HQ in February), we knew it was going to be big. 'Ôrəbella launched in April with three scents and was later joined by a fourth, the grown-up vanilla scent, Nightcap, in August. Dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin, each gorgeous, alcohol-free fragrance is formulated with a bi-phase, shake-to-activate formula that lent itself to many a viral vid. Shake, spritz, and rake in the views.
Rhode Pocket Blush
Hailey Bieber doesn’t have to do much to go viral, and yet, she uses her powers for good. The year of Rhode, which launched in 2022, has turned into the years of Rhode, as the brand continues to release innovative and beloved products. While the 2023-favorite Peptide Lip Treatment continued to make waves in 2024, this year was all about Pocket Blush, the creamy, easily blendable transportable blushes that gave our editors glazed, flushed cheeks. Oh, and bonus point: we can’t forget those genius phone cases–lip gloss holders.
Kosas DreamBeam Sunscreen SPF 40 in Sunlit
Another day, another viral sunscreen and skin tint. This Kosas favorite, which was first applauded for its makeup-enhancing abilities, was released in a new colorway in March: the aptly named Sunlit. Alongside all the magic of the original DreamBeam (think ceramides, peptides, a non-comedogenic formula, and a peachy-pink hue that neutralizes the blue-white shade of zinc oxide), DreamBeam Sunlit gives you a just-got-back-from-vacation glow. You know those one-and-done products that seem too good to be true when you see them tested online? This is one of those, but it works like it says it does.
Refy Glow and Sculpt Face Serum Primer
With its easy-to-use Blur Lip Liners cornering the market on the blurry, overlined lip trend as we speak and its Brow Sculpt as popular as ever, it’s been a big year for Refy. Nevertheless, its viral primer still takes the cake. With an innovative roller applicator that depuffs and sculpts the face (it’s also so fun to use), this brightening primer leaves your skin extremely glowy and helps your makeup hold up all day. And for the videos complaining that the roller-top is a breeding ground for bacteria, remember: You can take it off and wash it!
Rom&nd Glasting Melting Balm
Your lips but better. That’s the Glasting Melting Balm way. Famed for “covering up the cracks” in your pout and making your lips look silky and perfectly juicy with a jelly-like finish, these tint/balm hybrids from South Korean brand Rom&nd are basically always sold out. If you can get your hands on one, the pro tip is to pair your favorite shade with a gloss—the brand’s also-viral Glasting Color Gloss will do the trick.
Made by Mitchell Curve Case
Even if the product itself wasn’t excellent, Made by Mitchell’s Curve Cases could’ve gone viral for how fun they are to look at—the color choices in each of the five shade selections, which range from “Lighter Than Light” to “Deeper Than Deep” are quite frankly genius. Each creamy palette features four multi-use contour shades and four blush shades that you can use with or without other makeup, and influencers of all skin tones are on board. They blend like nothing else.
Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask
What I hate most about face masks is knowing I only have a certain amount of time to relax before I have to peel them off, but not this one. Biodance’s Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask was made to stay on for hours or ideally overnight. When it dries, it turns clear, and you peel it off to reveal the glowiest complexion.
Huda Beauty Easy Blur Natural Airbrush Foundation
While makeup artist Huda Kattan’s much-loved Huda Beauty line is no stranger to a viral product, the response to its new airbrush-finish foundation was something to behold. Almost instantly, the internet was overtaken with videos of people with all different skin types showing off one side of their face applied with foundation and one side au naturel—the difference t is the best “no filter” stamp of approval of all. Available in 29 shades, it features medium-to-buildable coverage so you can blur to your heart’s content.
Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré
This brilliant French pharmacy staple is far from new, but its immense internet popularity is. And TikTokers love it for a reason: its priming capabilities. Calling itself a “multi-functional moisturizer,” Lait-Crème works as a mask, primer, and makeup remover—and it’s gone viral for each use case. Still, the priming takes the cake; even Huda Kattan swears by the thick, silky cream to perfect her aforementioned foundations.
African Net Sponge
The way African Net Sponges took over my TikTok feed this summer should be studied in a Marketing 101 class. Gently exfoliating and sudsy to the max when paired with your favorite bodywash, Bellanomi—the brand you’ve likely seen on your feed—sources its authentic 45-inch sponges (they’re long enough to reach any spot your hands might miss on your back!) from Nigeria. Bonus: They can last up to two years with proper care. A viral product with the potential to outlast trend cycles? That’s what we’re always looking for.
