Summary[]
As Mysteria’s reconstruction is underway, Yoshi and those with him meet familiar survivors and restored curse victims, and talk with them about what they had to go through to save everyone while making new friends as well just when they see the spirits of Tenshi Adachi, Junichi Nagai, Chikaze Hanawa, Umihiko Kishino, Mugen Shoji, and sisters Esumi, Junko, Maina, and Rikae Oshima–the people Akuma, the Bloodstone Gang, and the Slaughter Sisters used to be–appear before them and thank them for freeing them from the curse before finally ascending to Heaven. Back in Matsunoki, Yoshi and the others are hailed as heroes while Kanami and Kumiko are finally reunited with their family, who sets out to the big city with them.
Plot[]
The episode begins with a brief narration of a message coming onscreen saying that a week had passed since Akuma and his henchmen had been defeated, followed by a message saying “Speaking of which…”.
The recovering Mysteria, Thursday May 4th[]
Our heroes had returned to the human world only to take notice of a construction crew who had just arrived to start rebuilding Mysteria together day by day. As they make their way to the mainland, they meet the newly restored Amaya, the restored Akiko, and even the restored Yui in front of them as they are on their way to the Isasawa family. Kanami, the restored Kumiko, and Dr. Maeda are relieved to see that the restoration antidote had worked after all while they and everyone else meet them and shake their hands. Yui even pranks Ayame, Kiyomi, and Masako by mimicking her puppet and holding her new one in front of them. Along the way, Masayo chooses the green aura to use his nature power to restore the forest nearby while Akihiro helps grow the plant life with her water magic, and the four Tsukumo sisters visit their late parents’ graves. Ritsuko and Seiko even visit Miyu’s before they move to film and report about the village’s reconstruction to the news agency she works in. Just then, Yoshi sees new people–most of them the survivors from last year–starting to move back in, and joins Ritsuko in interviewing them. While the new people wait in line, the rest of our heroes talk with them about what happened.
Sunday, May 7th[]
Our heroes had decided to stay in Mysteria for a few more days to check on the reconstruction. While he notices more new people starting to settle into some newly rebuilt homes, Reiki and Masayo run up to Yoshi to tell him that Akari had felt a strange vision she is trying to make real, prompting him to see her. By the time the three arrive, Akari and the Hojo twins introduce them to the spirits of Tenshi Adachi and his servants Junichi Nagai, Chikaze Hanawa, Umihiko Kishino, Mugen Shoji, and sisters Esumi, Junko, Maina, and Rikae Oshima, Junichi and Chikaze holding hands and Mugen surrounded by the five restored dancers. Yoshi and Masayo are shocked to see that Akari has ghost vision and realize that Akuma, the Bloodstone Gang, and the Slaughter Sisters used to be humans before they became whom they helped defeat. Adachi’s spirit thanks them and everyone else for freeing him and his servants from the curse, as this was not a fate he sought after all. After his servants each thank our heroes, he hopes someone will discover and bring back his family’s legacy of music before he and his servants are finally taken by the Ishikawa triplets and Mitsunobi to Heaven to be forgiven once Chizue and the purified Seishin part ways. Just then, Atsumi gets a call from his mother Ochaco asking of his whereabouts, to which he tells her that he is still in one piece and announces that he and everyone else will be home soon.
Matsunoki, Monday May 15th[]
After much preparation and much traveling, the group’s two busses and rental cars had finally arrived in Matsunoki with a cheering crowd waiting for them. Everyone gets out and sees their families and most of their friends running up to them to embrace them. Along the way, Akari finds her younger sister Mieko Kawaye hiding behind a tree and then running up to her while Yui, Akiko, and Amaya are finally reunited with their respective families. Yoshi, Masayo, and the Hojo twins can even see Osamu Horikoshi, the Mayor of Matsunoki, getting ready to deliver a speech thanking them after Dr. Maeda had informed him via phone call that he had finally found the cure to anemia and defeated the mastermind behind the curse that happened a year ago. Later on, the mayor’s speech starts, and Yoshi, Dr. Maeda, and the others are hailed as heroes as a result. Maeda then reveals that he had each of the anemia vaccines shipped to hospitals around the world including his office here in Matsunoki, to everyone’s shock and surprise. After Kumiko apologizes to her old classmates for her spoiled behavior and they forgive her, Misaki and her cronies apologize for what happened to Kanami. Just then, Tohru and Kyouko go over to their twin daughters to inform them that they and their family are considering moving into the big city as they had enough money for a new home from winning the lottery in their absence, to which they gladly accept out of excitement. The twins, Kanami’s friends, and the rest of the Hojo family say their goodbyes to the others and again thank them for everything.
One Year Later[]
Sixteen-year-old Yoshi had been informed by his parents that he had qualified for his part-time job to work in the Sweet Recovery Children’s Hospital in the city of Kagura as a result of his heroic actions last year, while Atsumi, Noa, Hinote, Masayo, and each of their classmates graduate from Ochiba High School. The next day, Masayo proposes to Akari on a date to which she happily accepts while his friends and family watch. The episode then ends when Yoshi, having finished another day in the Sweet Recovery Children’s Hospital, gets a call from the hospital of an island a bit far from the city telling him the anti-anemia vaccines are needed there right away, ending the second season.
